PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLE:

I describe my photography as opportunistic. The majority of images are taken hand held as I prefer to move about taking what I see, rarely using hides and if needed use natural tripods like gates, fencing, the side of a tree trunk or the roof of my car.

GEAR:

Body: Progressing through the Canon range from 7D, 7D Mark II, 1DX Mark III to my recently acquired R5 Mark II

Lens: Fixed 400 f5.6, 100 - 400 L Series (most used), 500m (most used) L series f4(occasionally)

SOME TIPS :

Best time of the day early morning and the 2 - 3 before birds roost. They are busy searching for food

Sometimes leave the binoculars at home, they can get in the way

Check your camera before you leave the house, take a few images to ensure all is ok with your gear
